October 15, 2016: ALL-AMERICAN SPECTACULAR
Centennial High School Performing Arts Center, 12400 W. McMillan Road, Boise ID

What a great way to start the season! We perform music by some of America’s greatest composers, including Aaron Copland, Duke Ellington, Leonard Bernstein, John Williams and more. Special guest Del Parkinson joins us on the piano for variations on Gershwin’s famous “I Got Rhythm.”

December 3, 2016: A SEASON TO CELEBRATE
Centennial High School Performing Arts Center, 12400 W. McMillan Road, Boise ID

The holidays are a time of joy, good will — and MUSIC.  Join us for a warm and entertaining evening  sure to get you in the spirit of the season. “Adeste Fidelis,” “Sleigh Ride” and “A Christmas Festival” are on the program, along with “Twas the Night Before Christmas” led by Dr. Tom Phelps, our former longtime conductor (welcome back, Tom!) Boise State University choirs will perform with the Symphony under the direction of Dr. Michael Porter, and there may be other special guests (hint: Ho Ho Ho) as well.

February 25, 2017: BITS AND PIECES
Centennial High School Performing Arts Center, 12400 W. McMillan Road, Boise ID

We perform movements  from a dazzling array of masterworks, including Schubert’s “Unfinished” Symphony No. 8, Dvorak’s “New World” Symphony No. 9, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.4 and  Haydn’s “The Clock” Symphony. Plus Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins (more on our incredible soloists coming soon) and other musical gems!

April 22, 2017: RISING STARS
Centennial High School Performing Arts Center, 12400 W. McMillan Road, Boise ID

Our annual Young Artists Concert features amazing young musicians performing solos with the orchestra. Program includes Shostakovich’s Festive Overture with guest conductor Marcellus Brown, Prokofiev Piano Concerto No. 1, Bloch Suite Hebraique, Ibert Concertino Da Camera, Grieg Piano Concerto in A minor and Walton Crown Imperial Marc.
