OCTOBER 20, 2018: YOU ASKED FOR IT

We perform some of the world’s best-loved music by Rossini, Beethoven, Barber, Strauss and Dvorak, plus Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” with soloist Del Parkinson. All selections were suggested by orchestra and audience members.

Celebrate the season with holiday classics old and new, including excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker,” Krogstad’s “The Bells of Christmas” and the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s “Messiah” with special guests the Centennial High School Choir.

MARCH 9, 2019: MADE IN AMERICA
Centennial High School Performing Arts Center, 12400 W. McMillan Road, Boise ID

We shine the spotlight on music by some of our country’s most beloved composers  including Gershwin’s “An  American in Paris,” selections from Grofe’s “Grand Canyon Suite” and Copland’s “The Tender Land,” plus a lighthearted take on “Turkey in the Straw” arranged by Dragon.

APRIL 20, 2019: PLACES NEAR AND FAR
Centennial High School Performing Arts Center, 12400 W. McMillan Road, Boise ID

This lively concert features music from around the world, including John Williams’ “Far and Away” Suite, Barber’s “Adagio for Strings,” the Finale from Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 and more. Winners of our annual Young Artist Competition will also perform solos with the orchestra.

JUNE 8, 2019: CONCERT IN THE PARK

Presented by the City of Meridian
Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park Bandshell, 1900 N. Records Avenue, Meridian, ID

The family friendly free concert, part of the City of Meridian’s annual Gene Kleiner Day, will feature some of the orchestra’s “greatest hits.” Bring a picnic, a blanket or a chair and enjoy!
